MOM'S OF TEXAS

Good morning, Texas moms. It’s 5 a.m.—well, thanks to the time change, it’s technically 4 a.m., but my body hasn’t caught up yet. Anyone else wandering around in a daze, coffee in hand, wondering if you’ll ever feel rested again? Spring break is here, the kids are home, and the weather outside is—let’s be honest—pretty miserable. We’re all stuck inside, bouncing off the walls, and it’s way too easy to feel like you’re losing your mind.

But listen, you’re not alone. While the men are off at work, we’re the ones holding it down—running after kids, picking up messes, refereeing arguments, and answering the endless calls for snacks. Some days, it feels like the chaos will never end. But here’s the truth: you’re stronger than you think. Take a breath. Don’t worry about getting it all perfect. Put one foot in front of the other—just getting through the day is a win.

And here’s something I’ve realized: somewhere along the way, we forget to take care of ourselves. We put everyone else first, and before we know it, we barely recognize the woman in the mirror. I used to feel proud of how I looked, of who I was, but lately, that confidence slipped away. Maybe you feel that, too. Maybe life knocked you down a bit, and it’s hard to get back up.

But you know what? Even if you don’t do your hair or put on makeup, you’re still beautiful. You’re still worthy. Sometimes, a little self-care—a swipe of lipstick, a few minutes alone—can give you a boost, but don’t let anyone (including yourself) tell you that you aren’t enough as you are. Own it.

So, moms, I’m sitting here, trying to find my confidence again. Have you ever felt this way? How do you pick yourself up when you’re running on empty? Let’s talk about it—what gets you through these long, wild days?
